BMC Congratulates ADM Lisa Franchetti on her Nomination to be Chief of Naval Operations

Lisa Franchetti Nomination of Chief of Naval Operations

Cleveland, OH July 21, 2023.  Bartlett Maritime Corporation is pleased to congratulate ADM Lisa Franchetti on her Nomination by President Biden to become Chief of Naval Operations.

ADM Lisa Franchetti, currently Vice Chief of Naval Operations, has been nominated by President Joe Biden to become Chief of Naval Operations, leading the US Navy and joining the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

An ROTC graduate of Northwestern University, ADM Franchetti is a career Surface Warfare Officer who has commanded USS Ross (DDG 71), as well as two Carrier Strike Groups and the 6th Fleet.

Importantly ADM Franchetti is a proven warrior in combat, having led the 6th Fleet during the planning and execution of complex combat strikes on Syria.  These successful strikes included the first warshot missile launches from a Virginia Class submarine, in this case USS John Warner (SSN 785).  Importantly, in another first-ever, John Warner was successfully rearmed in theatre.  With the US Navy facing an increasing threat environment around the world, having a proven warrior in combat leading the Navy is key.  ADM Franchetti’s career is the embodiment of the timeless Roman treatise, Si vis Pacem, Para Bellum.  We look forward to working with ADM Franchetti as she assumes her new role as Chief of Naval Operations.
